My current research is focused on using experimental tools to study turbulent flow and flow-structure interactions in the renewable energy and environmental applications. Specific topics are related to the interaction of turbulence with wind and hydrokinetic turbines, flow over complex rough and biomimetic surfaces, bubble and droplets formation from the hydroelectric devices, etc. The experiments involve large-scale field measurements, laboratory wind tunnel and flume experiments, and further down to those in small-scale bench-top systems.
