PROMOTING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BETWEEN INDIA AND THE U.S.
As a Khorana scholar during summer 2014, Sanjan Gupta got an
oppurtunity to work in Dr. Jennifer Reed’s lab at University
of Wisconsin Madison. Soon after completing his B.Tech from
IIT-Madras, he joined back the lab as a PhD student and is
currently developing machine learning based approaches for
engineering microbes. His undergrad training at IIT-Madras
has equipped him with strong foundations in math, computation
and biotechnology. Sanjan is passionate about delivering
the fruits of science through techno/social entrepreunership.
Over the summer of 2016, he enjoyed mentoring the Khorana-Bose scholars
interning at UW Madison and in turn, strenghtening the bonds across batches
of the Khorana-Bose pariwaar.
