PROMOTING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BETWEEN INDIA AND THE U.S.

Manali Ghosh

Manali is the Global STEM Operations Director for WINStep Forward (WSF) since February 2021. She will be working on building stronger collaborative ties between the Indian and the U.S. STEM fields by reviewing current programs and creating new avenues like Sci-ROI India. She will also be working on building STEM based virtual learning content for WINStep Ekluvya Program. Her main responsibilities include engaging with WSF members, Sci-ROI team, individuals at key STEM institutions across India and U.S., identifying partners and collaborators for WSF, and raising funds and generating revenues for all WSF programs. Manali previously obtained her PhD in Chemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2019 and then worked as a postdoctoral scholar at Purdue University till January 2021. She is a trained structural biophysicist and worked on advancing solid-state NMR and cryo-EM techniques to probe biomolecules in the field of neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease.
