The goal of research in Christos Maravelias’s lab is to develop theory, models and algorithms for the solution of problems in the general area of Process Systems Engineering (PSE). Current projects include: (a) chemical production planning and scheduling; (b) supply chain management; (c) chemical process synthesis; (d) renewable fuel technology development and assessment, with special emphasis on biomass-to-fuels/chemicals and solar fuel technologies; and (e) computational methods for novel material discovery.
