I am interested in computational and mathematical modeling of complex systems including viscoelastic liquids, electro/magnetohydrodynamics, interfacial flows in porous media, dynamic contact lines, and microfluidics. Studies of existence of solutions, flow stability, asymptotic behavior, and singularities of such problems pose a great challenge. I use numerical modeling for addressing some of these mathematical open questions and for better understanding the underlying physical mechanisms of these phenomena.

I closely collaborate with experimentalists and engineers from many disciplines. We are mainly motivated by the experiments and engineering problems to develop computational methods for tackling multiscale nature of most of these problems. I welcome new collaborations and challenging problems. Please feel free to contact me or visit my research webpage for further information.
